To my family and friends my apologies for being so busy this summer. The kids finished school early June and we frantically prepared for the best event June has ever seen... what you may ask would this event be... well let me tell you about it. It is over 100 of our friends from Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Maryland, Iowa, New York, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Missouri, and Georgia... it was the result of thousands of planning e-mail between my wonderful friend Viviane and myself. You may still be puzzling over what the heck I am talking about... it is a celebration of three colors Red, White and...... GREEN! We were celebrating our little and big BULGARIANS! We ate banitsa and shopska, we ate ice cream, we laughed, we danced, we learned cryllic lettering, we played games, we rode bikes, we drew on the road with chaulk, we ran thru the splash park, we made friends, some of our children grieved, some of us cried, some of us had aching hearts, some of us stood back and saw the growth in our children since one year ago, each of us contributed, some celebrated finally meeting their online support group.... each of you my dear friends are imprinted on my heart! I enjoyed meeting all of your children! I missed the families who were not able to join us this year... Wendy, Sue, Valerie, Susan, Terry, Stephanie... I still can't wait to meet you Renae, Jennifer M., Kim, Kristin, Noreen... This is such a special group of people to my family. (If I missed you it wasn't intentional... I am just a mama with a little bit going on... LOL)

Elina's sparkled all weekend with her Bulgarian friends, she has especially liked that we found a way to protect her prosthetics so she can run and play in the water like the rest of the kids!

Connor made a new buddy Tobin, Tobin recently sent Connor a letter and we are going to write Tobin back this weekend... Connor can't wait to go back next year and see if the fort they built is still standing!

Hi Yvonne, loved seeing these pics. You commented on my blog that you live in Michigan. Where at? I would love to get together some time. Not sure where we will go for Blake's prosthetic. Need to review our insurance policy first! Someone at the Cincinnati Hospital mentioned Shriners too. Take Care.
