How many is enough?

I borrowed this from a friends blog who borrowed it from somewhere else... it is a poignant candid blog post regarding family size. Bottom line, please support and love me for the decisions I have made, please don't criticize my family building even if it isn't what you would do, what you want for me nor what you believe is the best for my family. I plan to be the best family that each of my children could ask for.

The problem is some people don't see children as BLESSINGS, but burdens instead...sad really...we're not "collecting" children, we're giving them something they DON'T HAVE..love, family, security.....

Adoption Timeline

11/07/2011-11/14/2011: Inquiry and information gathering about two boys on Reece's Rainbow and the partner agency.

11/14/2011- Discovered both boys were in the same orphanage and could be adopted together. 11/15/2011- Signed with Lighthouse for my homestudy.

11/17/2011-Child Abuse fingerprinting sent.

11/21/2011- Completed Hand In Hand Agency Application

11/22/2011- Homestudy Interview.

12/01/2011-Homestudy Home Visit

12/08/2011-MI Child Abuse Clearance received

12/16/2011-Listed on Reece's Rainbow Family page

1/6/2011-Registration Application is done (except homestudy) 1/13/2012- Psych Eval

1/18/2012-Homestudy finalalized

1/31/2012-Dossier received by agency/Region placed on HOLD.

2/9/2012-Received FBI prints

3/22/2012-USCIS fingerprints

4/21/2012-171H Received.

6/28/2012-THE CALL

07/07-14/2012-Trip 1

07/09/2012-MOE Submission

07/12/2012-Metcha Day

08/25-08/29/2012-Trip 2

08/28/2012-Court

08/30-10/6/2012-Trip 3

10/02/2012- Owen's Forever Family Day

10/06/2012-Owen Became a US Citizen!
