Happy Grandmother March!
Happy Grandmother March, what a special time of year to Celebrate a Bulgarian tradition. Time to wish family and friends health for this new season of spring. In Bulgaria is tradtion to make white and red bracelets and give them to family or freinds to wear until a stork is seen. Then once the stork is seen yo tie them to a tree.
I was fortunate to spend time in Bulgaria in March 2010 when I picked up Elina. It was fun to walk down the streets and see the red and white bracelts tied into the trees that we beginning to bud and flower. What a special time to begin on a journey with a very special and sweet little girl who has come so far in the almost 3 years that she has been home.
